This course covers the skills and knowledge required to set up, operate, adjust and shut down a tempering process used to temper chocolate.
COURSE STRUCTURE
This course is divided in 6 sections with questions posed at the end to reflect on learning. After successful completion of the course, learners will be awarded a certificate of course completion.
At the end of this course, learners would be familiar with the following:
- Different types of chocolates and their ingredients
- The tempering process and quality of chocolate
- Processing/ operating parameters are entered as required to meet safety and production requirements
- Equipment performance is checked and adjusted as required
- Cleaning and maintenance requirements and status are identified and confirmed
- The process is shut down according to workplace procedures
- Maintenance requirements are identified and reported according to workplace reporting requirements
