This course describes the skills and knowledge required to execute tasks associated with the recruitment cycle.
COURSE STRUCTURE
This course is divided in 6 sections with questions posed at the end to reflect on learning. After successful completion of the course, learners will be awarded a certificate of course completion.
At the end of this course, learners would be familiar with the following:
- Preparation of job descriptions which accurately reflect the role requirements in accordance with organizational procedures and legislation, codes and national standards and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) considerations.
- Obtaining approvals to advertise position.
- Consult with relevant personnel to convene selection panel and to develop interview questions.
- Shortlist applicants.
- Ensure that interview questions do not breach legislative requirements.
- Schedule interviews and advise relevant personnel of times, dates and venues.
- Participate in interview process and assess candidates against agreed selection criteria.
- Contact referees for referee reports.
- Advise unsuccessful candidates of outcomes and respond to any queries.
- Provide successful candidate with employment contract and other documentation.
- Arrange induction in accordance with organizational policy.
