This course describes the skills and knowledge to define a project and scope it, to select the team and plan the project. It discusses leadership, management, monitoring and evaluating the progress and finalizing it.
COURSE STRUCTURE
This course is divided in 12 sections with questions posed at the end to reflect on learning. After successful completion of the course, learners will be awarded a certificate of course completion.
At the end of this course, learners would be familiar with the following:
- What is project management.
- Determining the project brief and listing the key components of a project manager’s role.
- Identification of stakeholders for the project and describing their role.
- A project narrative and features of project making if different from organization’s usual undertakings.
- Establishing time-frames, costing a project, identifying responsibilities, reporting requirements and clarifying the intended outcomes of the project.
- Goal setting, planning process, plan development, allocation of resources, understanding the breakdown of tasks.
- Setting goals, putting strategies in place to achieve those goals.
- Contract management process, change management process, risk management.
- Winding down and closing a project, preparing a closure report and celebrating success.
