This course describes the skills and knowledge required to supervise staff who perform agreed duties at an alternative site during some or all of the scheduled work hours. Off-site work is a flexible employment option that meets all legal and regulatory employment requirements.
COURSE STRUCTURE
This course is divided in 6 sections with questions posed at the end to reflect on learning. After successful completion of the course, learners will be awarded a certificate of course completion.
At the end of this course, learners would be familiar with the following:
- Roles and responsibilities of offsite work supervisors.
- To ensure that work objectives for off-site staff are linked to measurable targets and include agreed timeframes.
- Provide guidance to offsite staff to establish and maintain a supportive working environment in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Assign mentors to support offsite staff and to provide a link between offsite staff and the organization.
- Plan and conduct regular meetings to determine individual progress, identify needs and provide networking opportunities.
